In an appeal to start debate and discussion with the voters of NY-23, Will Barclay says he wants to be open. Today he said, "I cannot say it strongly enough... Candidates for the US Congress owe this to the people. It should not be viewed as an option - it's an obligation... Let's give the people the real thing for a change" (Barclay for Congress Press Release, 2/25/10).

Perfect slow pitch for Hoffman. Release your last 3 tax returns and demand Wee willy and Doheny do the same. I bet one or both drop out of the race or refuse to do it. Bang out of the park home run
ReplyDeleteNo way should he answer your questions. This blog is most likely run by Owens and the Democrats. Why should he strategically get out in front on all these issues so early on?
ReplyDeleteGet a life bugs, this blog is very obviously maintained by owens cronies. You have lost readership fast and will continue to do so, especially since you are not a big enough man or woman to identify yourself.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Barclay, Doheny or Hoffman answer a Anonymous blog? I do love this site but no one can take your questions seroiusly when your Buggs. If you want to be a real news site get real that they have to respond-come out.
ReplyDeleteI think he has to answer your questions. He kind of boxed himself in with that quote, if it did come from his campaign. If he doesn't answer your questions then he looks like he isn't being open with the public.
ReplyDeleteBuggs, why don't you post the questions on here so we know you actually sent them to Barclay? And, why wouldn't you offer the same set of questions to all three candidates in the race for Congress? Why single out Barclay? Shouldn't they all be able to answer the same questions?
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe that any candidate for elected office would want to respond to a blog that God knows who runs. Like some previous commentors said, this could easily be run by Owens people.
Paterson drops out the running... his choice, but pressure and rumors, etc., were too much. Ready for another Cuomo? Hang on tight.
ReplyDeletemy guess it is Dede's new job hosting this blog, unless the dems give her a job. I heard that Owens offered her a job, what more could he do, it was the only way he could win the first time. Notice how he absolutely disappeared.
ReplyDeleteAh, trying to discredit the blog by insinuating owens is behind it. What about the post criticizing Owens and J-Street?
ReplyDeleteNo way that Barclay or any candidate should respond to this anon blog. Buggs, there are plenty of formal media sites that will the same questions you probably sent to Barclay and they'll just report the news. God only knows what you would do with it...
ReplyDelete1022 - getting a little defensive now aren't we? That was a pretty lame attempt at covering your tracks...no one knows what J-Street is...
10:22, the J-Street posting is an obvious attempt to provide cover for the Owens folks running this blog. They make one weak posting questioning Owens, and it gives cover for the multiude more posts attacking Barclay, Doheny, etc.
ReplyDeleteI agree, either Owens folks or Hoffman folks run this - no one who was really well informed about the issues would ever claim Hoffman was such a clear standout in the campaign and put Barclay and Doheny on a third tier with Maroun. There are meetings on March 8th and April 22 with Hoffman, Barclay and Doheny. Maroun is no where to be found. He is definitely not in the same category as Barclay and Doheny. And putting Hoffman two levels above is, well, ridiculous. So either Hoffman people run this or Owens people run this and they consider Hoffman to be the weakest candidate and want him to get the nomination, which is logical considering Owens just beat him in an election for the same job 4 months ago.
ReplyDeleteBuggs, you wascally wabbit, I'm ready for the 2nd round of questions when you are! The invitation to coffee is still on the table.

If this was an anti-Owens site it would have run a story about Owens siding with Pelosi and Obama on health care. This site is likely pro-Owens trying to stir up Republican in-fighting.
ReplyDeleteHere is challenge to the Owens supporter(s) running this site... write a piece on Owens & health care. I dare you.
